Full-time (40+ hours/week)

Description: Precast Engineering Company (PEC) is looking for ambitious structural engineering graduates with a solid background in concrete and steel design. Job duties include the generation of structural calculations and drawings, as well as project coordination. Engineers will be in frequent contact with the project architect, general contractor, and the precast plant. Based on their ability and performance, responsibility is given to new engineers at a challenging rate. New engineers typically manage their own projects within the first year and a half. Mentors supplement the graduate’s degree by training in advanced engineering theory used for precast system and component design. New engineers at PEC are guided through their first few projects, learning the techniques and concepts pertinent to each project. This process utilizes the graduate’s knowledge of theory, and shapes their practical design experience. With a firm belief in “training by way of doing”, engineers are responsive for a large scope of the project in a relatively short amount of time. PEC’s goal is to attract and retain gifted individuals by training them to completely understand the entire precast concrete design process from conception to construction.

Required Qualifications: A BS in Civil or Structural Engineering and a familiarity with AutoCAD is required. Structural concrete design experience, an interest in project management, knowledge of drafting standards, programming experience, familiarity with Revit and effective communication skills are also desired.

Join a Talented Team: The strength of Precast Engineering Company is derived from its employees, and the company’s past success is directly attributed to its capable staff of engineers and technicians. PEC is committed to providing a challenging and rewarding work environment for all employees.

PEC’s project repertoire includes architecturally complicated low to mid-rise office, residential and commercial buildings; manufacturing facilities; sports complexes; parking structures; and bridge beam components.
